Robert B. Sherman, the songwriter who teamed with his brother Richard to write songs for Walt Disney’s classic films, including "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" for “Mary Poppins,” has died. He was 86.
Sherman died yesterday in London, his agent, Stella Richards, told the Associated Press. The cause was not disclosed.
The brothers also wrote music for other Disney films, including "The Jungle Book," ''The Aristocats" and "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang."
"It's a Small World After All," written for the 1964 New York World's Fair, was another Sherman composition.
