Organized retail theft costs Conumers $400 per household annually

Organized retail theft rings are big and getting bigger, costing retailers
$30 billion in lost merchandise last year and leaving shoppers paying the
bill, say experts including NRF's Joseph LaRocca. Households pay nearly $400
per year in higher prices charged to offset retailers' theft losses, he
said.
