Reuters reports China accelerating LED manufacturing schedule

China is planning to spend $10.5 billion to produce LED products for consumer-electronics goods during the next three years, according to iSuppli data. Hans Mosesmann, an analyst with the Raymond James firm, described the country's aggressive schedule as "a tsunami," adding that the Chinese "are very keen on learning how to produce LEDs ... and, all things being equal, the Chinese are going to prefer the local suppliers."
