Making music can be hard on the planet. From touring to packaging, from energy use to waste, it may all sound great, but is hardly sound environmental policy.
But there are those who are working to change all that. Clif Bar has been providing resources to a number of great, emerging bands to help make music greener. Working with these artists, including Missy Higgins, Michael Franti, Brett Dennen, the John Butler Trio, and many others, Clif recently created an album called Green Notes: Protecting the Places We Play; all of its proceeds will be donated to the Sierra Club and other conservation groups. And now you can download any two of the songs on this album for free. Simply go here to support green bands and get free tunes.
