Sustainability Project led by SIFE and Leadership Walton Students Successful

University of Arkansas Leadership Walton students, in conjunction with SIFE and Leadership Fayetteville participants, collected over 400 CFL light bulbs in March and April.

On April 17, a group of Leadership Walton and SIFE students used these bulbs to replace energy inefficient lights at Fayetteville Housing Authority properties. These bulbs are expected to save utility users over $17,500 and prevent over 100,000 pounds of harmful CO2.

Leadership Walton is a developmental program that enhances students’ experiences in the areas of leadership, career path management and academics. Leadership Walton is managed by the Walton College Career Center. For more information, please visit http://waltoncollege.uark.edu/leadership/ .
